Making Birthday Cookies...the Birthday Fun continues!!!

We made Birthday Cookies for Ella to take to Nana's house (where Ella goes to daycare) to share with her friends on her birthday.

Now, whenever we talk about making cookies Ella refers to them as her "brtda tookies!"

10 Month Family-versary!

Today is our 10 month Family-versary!!! It is hard to believe in two months we will have been together for a whole year!!!

I keep thinking back to last year and say things like "this time last year we were doing....B.E.D (Before Ella Days)". I infinitly believe that the A.E.D. (After Ella Days) are the Better Days that was the song by the Goo Goo Dolls in our "Ella Announcement" was talking about!

Ella loves swinging. Last summer she would sit on the swing with one of us, but this year she wants to swing herself. She can now hold on with both her hands and likes to go "high."

Wall of Ella!

Today is Ella Day!!! We have been in each other's lives for 10 months!!! Tomorrow is our 10 month Family-versary!!!

Here is the WoE or Wall of Ella!!!

We were finally able to start this last year...it had been something I had wanted to do for so long. The photo above all of the month photos is one of the black and white photos from our wedding day. The plan is to have our first family photo shoot photo in that spot, but we still have not been able to arrange that yet.

You can see we are closing in on a year of being together as a family!!!!

Ella's New Bike

Ella received her first tri-cycle for her birthday last week.

She has mastered backing up quite well.

Pun at da Park (Fun at the Park)

We were able to go to the park last Friday after school/work.

It was warmer, still a bit chilly, and also kind of swampy...but that didn't stop the fun!!!

Birthday Fun!!!

Ella's birthday became a week long celebration of fun!!!

Ella received a package last Monday on her actual birthday from her friend Madison (and Mackenzie, Kathy, and Jim) in Iowa. Ella and Madison were at the same S.W.I. in China and are very close in age. We plan on meeting Madison's family on Mackinac Island in July this summer!!!

Look for more Birthday Fun evidence throughout the next week!!! I mean really can you only have 3rd birthday fun on one day...in the words of Ella "nope!" (<--one of her new favorite words next to "yep!").

Happy 3rd Birthday!!!!

Today is Ella's 3rd Birthday!!!

When she woke up this morning I sang the "Happy Birthday" song to her. I think that glued an instant smile to her face all day long.

David and I said "Happy Birthday Ella" several times this morning and then throughout the day we heard Ella say "Happy Birthday to the Ella" whenever anyone would hear that it was her birthday.

Of course we have about 604968409684 photos and videos of this past weekend and today, but I will share the video today of when she opened up one of her "prenens" (presents) from us.

Happy Birthday to our sweet girl. We can't wait to see what adventures we are in store for over the next year and beyond with her.
