We are home (after a 5 hour delay at the Beijing airport, a non-sleeping toddler on a 12 hour flight across half the world, missing connecting flights due to 5 hour delay, loss of Ella's "E-Ticket" paper work from Air China due to too few Air China employees trying to help too many people at one time, and spending the night at a hotel for about 5 hours in order to get on another flight home...but we made it!!!). We are tired (jet lag seems to be hitting us in waves, we are making our way through it, but it isn't fun). We have regressed at bit (apparently strollers and wagons are not funs mode of transportation anymore, and bathtime wasn't fun, but has become fun again). We can't find the cord to transfer the photos from the camera to the laptop...but we think we know where it is at (you know that master packing plan of I am going to put it somewhere safe....if only we know where that safe spot was at). ~wide awake dee (at 4:30a.m. this morning), jet-lagged David, and sweetly sleeping Ella |

Welcome home, Ballheim Family!!!
ReplyDeleteOh geez! That trip back does not sound like fun AT...ALL! But alas, you're all three home - together. And that's all that really matters. Welcome home, Dave, Deanna and sweet little Ella! May you experience nothing but happiness as you begin your new lives - at home - together.
ReplyDeleteGlad you all are home safe & sound after quite an adventurous trip back!! Looking forward to seeing you all - after you have the time needed to get where you need to be to start introducing Ella to all her new friends!
ReplyDeleteLots of hugs,
The Desentz Family
Welcome home!!! Sorry the flights were so mixed up on the way back. :-(
ReplyDeleteVery happy you are home with your beautiful little girl! She is amazing! Give her a hug for me, Sam, and Josh!!!
Yuck!! The flight home obviously SUCKED! Nonetheless, I'm glad to hear you are all home safely. Ella's world turned upside down again, so regression is normal and Jet Lag sucks, too. I don't know if you recall my rejoicing the day Sarah finally started to enjoy baths. Now you have to drag her out of the tub--I hope Ella reaches that point again soon.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear about Ella settling into her new family life and watching her come fully out of her shell. It's such a joy to watch these little girls blossom among all the love and TLC they receive once home forever. :O)
Much love and kisses from Princess Sarah to Empress Ella!
Rhonda & Sarah
Welcome Home! I hope everyone's adjustment to being home and being a Mommy, Daddy, and Daughter are smooth from here on out!
ReplyDeletelate to the game, here, but wanted to say "welcome home"!
